midnight jazz club

mirrorball

the promenade is black and white

my feet tethered to the ground

expensive perfumes makes me uneasy up my snout

such huge crowd, such little i care about

and i dance ‎

you walked in glimmering in grace

somehow my discomfitures flew away

your smile paints in the hue

painting the grandeur, casting out my blue

and i dance ‎

your hand in mine

chords flying around us amplifies

swirling waltz i could barely descry

its hard focusing when you have all my senses occupied

and i dance ‎

had my hair combed

you had your hair brushed

bold colors of our dresses

perfect shade of your blush

the mirrorball and its shards of starlight

not even if it tries will be brighter than that enchanting smile

away we went from the ground

where our roof is the night sky

the stars are much more beautiful from your eyes

shall you come with me for a dance?
